Here at school, some of our classrooms mark the Halloween time period by having harvest-themed celebrations. We do not celebrate Halloween in school. Nevertheless, the children are abuzz with talk about trick or treating, parties, movies, costumes, etc. As Halloween has become big business in our culture, the images that young children are becoming even more confusing.
