Kindergarten Readiness

It has been a pleasure to meet our incoming Kindergarten students and their families during our multiple Kindergarten registrations.  Kindergarten students enrolling for the 2015-2016 school year must turn 5 years of age on or before October 15, 2015.  Chronological age doesn't always align with social/emotional age and school readiness.  Many parents of children on the younger side have wondered whether their child is ready for Kindergarten. The numerous research articles and assessment tools listed on the Education.com website may help you explore what is best for your child and whether she is ready to start Kindergarten.  Please know that it is our school district’s firm belief that it is our job to meet the child’s need, not the child’s job to meet ours!
